CGC bids lowest for cUSD300mn road contract in Kuwait and USD281mn contract in the UAE
Combined Group Contracting (CGC) is reported to have submitted the lowest offer for the contract to design, build and maintain roads, bridges and related facilities for the road linking the Damascus Road to the fifth ring road and King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Road in Kuwait. CGC offered two options priced at USD282.7mn and USD294.4mn, respectively. Both offers are lower than those offered by Afcons Infrastructure (USD312.4mn), Kuwait Arab Contractors (USD326.6mn) and First Kuwait Company (USD328mn). cUSD7.5bn of road projects are currently under execution in Kuwait, MEED Projects. Moreover, the company has announced that it came as the lowest bidders for another road contract in the UAE, worth KWD84.4mn (USD281mn), which, if awarded, will be completed within three years.
