CBE requires banks’ boards to meet at least eight times per year
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued new regulations that require banks’ BoDs to meet at least eight times a year, down from the previous requirement that they meet once a month. The CBE also allowed board members to attend BoD meetings virtually through video conference or by phone for a maximum of two times per year for each member, down from four.
