The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has paid back USD1bn in dues to the Paris Club, according to Egyptian state news agency, MENA. This follows the CBE Governor's announcement yesterday of paying USD1bn to Qatar, which aimed to help prop up the hard currency reserves after the 2011 uprising. (Bloomberg)
