CBE kept USD-EGP unchanged at foreign currency auction, directed towards staples
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) stabilised the USD-EGP at 8.78 in its foreign currency auction on Tuesday worth USD116mn. The CBE reportedly directed banks to allocate the foreign currency for food imports, mainly fish, poultry, and baby formula. (Daily News Egypt)
