Cabinet raises visa fees, traffic fines

Cabinet approved proposals to raise a range of government fees, including visa fees and traffic violations fines, SPA reports. New visa fees include a charge of SAR8,000 (USD2,133) for a two-year multiple entry permit. SAR500 charge is required for obtaining a three-month multiple exit and re-entry visa – previously such charge was required to obtain a six-month visa. Cabinet also approved changes to civil aviation fees, and set heavy fines for ‘drifting’, in which thrill-seeking Saudi motorists spin and skid their cars at high speed. (Reuters)
