Banque Misr negotiating USD150mn loan to boost foreign currency liquidity

Egypt’s second-largest state lender, Banque Misr is negotiating with some foreign financial institutions for a USD150mn loan to shore up its foreign currency resources, bank’s chief Mohamed Eletreby said Tuesday. Banque Misr has recently received a USD300mn loan from the Bahrain-based Bank ABC. The Egyptian lender is also in talks over EUR300mn syndicated loan. (Amwal Al Ghad)
