Banque du Caire is studying opening FX bureaus; NBE to open its first FX bureaus early next year
Banque du Caire Chairman Mounir El Zahid said that the bank is currently considering to open FX bureaus in the coming period. El Zahid added that Banque du Caire collected EGP12bn in high-yielding certificates of deposits that the bank launched following the EGP free float, of which 15% is coming from outside Egypt. Banque du Caire total deposits reached EGP70bn while total loans stood at EGP40bn, according to El Zahid. National Bank of Egypt (NBE) is currently preparing to open its first foreign currency company early next year, with a capital of EGP50mn and a network of 10 bureaus. (Al Borsa)
