Banks collect USD2.8bn since float, CBE Governor says
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor said that, as of Tuesday, the banking system has collected USD2.6bn since the float decision was taken, which is double what the banks took during the first week, following the decision. Amer also said that banks received USD200mn on Wednesday, which makes the total amount of inflows to USD2.8bn. Reporters also quote Amer as saying that the average inflow is USD300mn per day.
