Bahri receives first of five carriers built by Hyundai Samho
The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) (4030.SE) received its first carrier from the five Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) being built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (announced in 2015). The company noted that it expects the ‘Amjad’ carrier to commence operations during March 2017. Bahri financed the five VLCCs through a SAR1.4bn Murabaha loan signed in 2016. The company had earlier announced that it expected to receive the five carriers throughout 2017. (Tadawul)
