Azizi begins construction on AED12bn project, Azizi Riviera, in MBR City
Azizi Developments (Azizi) announced that it has begun construction on its AED12bn project, Azizi Riviera, in Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City (MBR City). The waterfront project, located on the banks of the Dubai Canal within the Meydan One project, is being developed by KCC Engineering and Construction and Actco General Constructing. The project will comprise 69 mid-rise residential buildings, a retail district and two hotels. On the residential side, it will offer a total of 13,000 units, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom and studio apartments. The integrated retail district will consist of high street bridge brands, as well as leisure and entertainment facilities, while the two hotels will include one four-star and one five-star property. The development will also offer access to the Meydan One Mall and the Meydan Racecourse – where the Dubai World Cup is held. The first two phases are scheduled for completion in December 2018. Azizi Riviera is the first in a series of projects that Azizi is planning to develop in the Meydan One mega-development, following a partnership with Meydan Group announced earlier this year.
