Aramex (ARMX.DU) has partnered with PayPal to launch a new online marketplace (www.ishoptheworld.com) that will offer a globally integrated shipping and payments solution. Through the new platform, consumers can shop from merchants spread across 15 countries within the Middle East, Europe, South East Asia and Africa and pay through a single online transaction. Meanwhile, the new product will grant merchants access to over 60 cities where Aramex’s “Shop and Ship” online platform service is active. Also, merchants can list their products easily and free of charge; as they would not need to go through export documentation, customs, clearance and costs such as transaction fees, according to a statement by Aramex’s senior e-commerce manager, Mazen Mourad.  (Bloomberg, Gulf Business)
