Arabian Cement Company (ARCC.CA) and Elsewedy -Cement were amongst the first 25 companies to buy a conditions booklet for the new cement licences that were announced earlier last week by Industrial Development Authority (IDA) in nine governorates. The IDA expects more companies to pick up booklets in the coming days. Also, Libyan investors were reportedly interested in the new cement licences, with plans to establish new projects in Egypt. Bids for the new licences will be submitted from 10 February to 10 May, with approved applicants expected to be announced in July 2016. (Al Borsa)
