Alexfert has decreased its monthly supplies to the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture by 49% (which accounts for 16k tonnes, down from 31k tonnes). Note that sales to the Ministry of Agriculture are executed at a subsidised price that is below global fertiliser prices. The decision was effective February 2017 and is related to a settlement between the Egyptian government and EK holding. It is worth noting that Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKHO) [EKHO.CA] owns 38% of AlexFert.
