Al Naboodah Construction Group, a Dubai-based contractor, is targeting a 75% increase in turnover to AED3.5bn this year, up from AED2bn in 2015. Colin Timmons, CEO, said the growth will be driven by the buildings division, and will be helped by developing closer links between this segment and other parts of the business, such as MEP contracting arm, the Arcon ready-mix concrete business, its specialist joinery operation and the National Plant and Equipment business. Al-Naboudah had won a package to carry out the infrastructure works as part of Alec’s recent contract win for a new terminal at Al Maktoum airport and is “waiting on a few major projects to land,” according to Timmons.
