Airports security plan phase one costs USD42mn, Civil Aviation Minister says

The Minister of Civil Aviation, Sharif Fathy, stated Monday that security devices of phase one of the aviation security plan are estimated to cost USD42mn. The three-phase plan aims to renew and replace security devices and equipment in all Egyptian airports. The Ministry started executing the first phase of the plan through replacing and renewing devices in Cairo International Airport. Germany is set to supply Egypt with 44 out of 87 X-ray inspection devices within 60 days, to be installed in Cairo Airport, Fathy noted. (Amwal Al Ghad)
