Advanced talks between MNOs on establishing a tower company in KSA

According to Maaal, the three mobile number operators (MNO) in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Telecom Company (STC) [7010.SE] , Mobily [7020.SE] and Zain KSA [7030.SE], are in advanced talks to establish a co-owned (with varying stakes) tower company. This comes following signals of a tower sale made by Mobily and Zain KSA. According to the source, this should reduce tower capex, maintenance and operating expenses by 70%. KSA now has c34,000 towers with 50% (17,000) of that owned by STC, while Mobily owns 10,000 and Zain KSA owns 6,500.
