ADNOC Distribution (ADNO.AD) is looking to introduce new premium lanes at 40 Abu Dhabi petrol stations starting mid-April, where customers are charged a fee for an attendant to refuel their vehicles; in addition to self-service lanes, which require customers to get out of their cars to personally undertake refueling and payment. Currently, the stations are being rebranded to highlight the two options, called ‘ADNOC Flex’, and new safety features are being added in self-service lanes including gloves and touch pads. The exact rate of the premium service is expected to be announced in the coming two weeks, with the elderly and those with a disability to be exempted. According to the company’s CEO Saeed Al Rashdi, a delivery option called MyStation delivering LPG cylinders or fuel to customers’ homes and vehicles is also expected to be introduced, but no launch date has been announced.
