ADIB Egypt to arrange EGP2bn syndicated loan for EETC
Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has signed an agreement to obtain a Sharia-compliant loan of EGP2bn to expand and develop power transmission networks. The loan is arranged by ADIB Egypt, with five other banks contributing to the financing, including Société Arabe Internationale de Banque (SAIB), Industrial Development & Workers Bank of Egypt (IDWBE), Misr Iran Development Bank and Al Baraka Egypt, sources said. The duration of the loan is 15 years including a grace period of three years. Sources further stated that the financing would be likely disbursed within a month.
