Abu Dhabi charged an airport tax of AED35 (USD9.53) on airline passengers departing from or transiting through Abu Dhabi International Airport, effective 30 June, as per Abu Dhabi government's official gazette. The emirate also imposed a 4% municipality tax on hotel bills, as well as a AED15 charge per night per room, from the beginning of this month, the gazette said. (Reuters)
