Abraaj to reportedly bid for Egypt’s Alsalam Hospital Mohandessin, acquires stake in Tunisia’s Société d’Articles Hygiéniques
Abraaj Group has reportedly sent an offer to acquire a controlling stake in Egypt’s Alsalam Hospital Mohandessin, as reported by Al Borsa sources, with the article adding that the hospital’s owners are taking the matter into serious consideration. Alsalam Hospital has 104 beds, which would allow Abraaj to reach its Egyptian health care target of 1,000 beds, especially as the acquisition of Al Shorouk Hospital (120 beds), is nearing completion, Al Borsa report added. On another note, Abraaj acquired a stake in Tunisia’s listed company Société d’Articles Hygiéniques (SAH) through a 49% in JM Holding, SAH’s controlling shareholder. SAH is a leading producer of disposable household and personal care products for babies, women and adults in Tunisia, with a 60% market share and an export market that includes 18 countries.( Al Borsa, Al Alam Al Youm)
