The number of bidding documents withdrawn by potential investors for the 64 land plots launched by the General Authority for Investment (GAFI) on behalf of the Ministry of Housing, has grown to 417, according to Moustafa Madbouli, Housing Minister. Out of the total 417 pool, 130 were for four land plots in New Cairo and 115 for 11 plots in Sixth of October. The bidding documents were made available starting 13 January and through 4 February, as per the original plan, extended to 4 March on less-than-expected demand. These plots total 1,500 feddans and are spread over 20 new cities, ranging from 3.5 feddans and 106 feddans each. (Al Mal)
